We felt welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff as soon as we arrived. The room was spacious, and having a private onsen was a real bonus. They arranged both Japanese and French dinners for us, which we thoroughly enjoyed—truly the best of the best.

The apartment was spacious and very comfortable. It was very clean and well equipped. The owner of the apartment is a delightful woman who made me feel very welcome. She arranged a taxi to take me to the station on the day I left and made green tea and a delicious rice ball for me to eat on the train when I left!

Excellent host. Prompt response! House was very well equipped with added touches to enhance the experience. Host prepared us with detailed information for parking nearby. Once we entered, we were greeted with a basket of snacks and coffee/ tea packets. Toiletries, including facial care products and sanitary napkins were provided. Kitchen was very well equipped. There were even frozen mugs in the freezer for beer! We had fun with the Nintendo switch at night!! The stay was exceptionally pleasant! Thank you very much for the hospitality!!

The guesthouse is self built and decorated down to the smallest detail, absolutely amazing. It has wide, comfortable beds and a bar in the common area where the friendly host serves drinks like speciality coffee & tea, but also beer and Shochu. You can bring your own food and drinks too. You can rent his high quality rental bikes and see all the local recommendations for Sakurajima, so we couldn’t recommend this spot enough - an experience worth more than can be counted with money.
