This charming apartment was spotlessly clean throughout, the kitchen was well equipped, the bed was comfortable & the shower was powerful with constant hot water. It was in a separate building to the house that belongs to the family & is in a lovely large peaceful garden very near the main square & bus stop in Merkine. The family are helpful & kind & some members speak English.

Everything exceeded my expectations, especially with the low price. The room is huge, the natural light floods in from windows & skylights and the kitchen is grand! The owner is incredibly kind and helpful, a true joy staying at their peaceful private guesthouse. This is an excellent place to stay and do multiple day trips exploring the region. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay! The hostess was incredibly kind and welcoming —truly one of the nicest people we've met. The house is situated right next to her own home, within a beautifully fenced and secure area, where we could also safely park our car. The cottage itself was spotless, very cozy, and thoughtfully maintained, with everything we could possibly need. The air conditioning worked like a charm and cooled the room down in no time, which was a real blessing on warmer days. One of our favorite features was the private sauna, which heated up very quickly and made for a relaxing experience. Outside, there’s a terrace with chairs and a table—perfect for enjoying morning coffee or evening meals. There’s even a grill for barbecues. The garden and the entire yard are stunning—neat, green, and full of care. A special mention must go to the hostess’s adorable little dog, who loved being petted and added an extra touch of warmth to our stay. For convenience, a grocery store is only a few minutes’ drive away, so it’s easy to pick up anything you need. Everything about this place made us feel right at home. It was clean and well-kept. We’re already looking forward to returning—without a doubt, we’ll be back!

Everyone was incredibly friendly, the concept of the dome on a private pier is just amazing, there's plenty of things to do (for free) on the areal even renting a boat, we were the only ones in and at the lake and the peace and quietness was just next level
