+ Everything I needed for a stay on their property outside of central oamaru (10min drive) + Very quiet and comfortable lots of amenities in the cabin (cooking facilities, breakfast jams/condiments/bread/juice + Always nice to see a place offer fresh milk, and a generous 1L bottle (really sets the tone of how likely its put more thought and attention to detail, which this place does!) + Multiple heaters, electric blanket + Fun bathroom (double door, so rare!!! As not to disturb the guests in bed with the light directly shining so you can enter on both (corners). I think from reading reviews this also helps if you are renting the other cabin with no toilet just a stones throw away. The bathroom had all the necessities including shampoo, conditioner, aftershave, and a super warm TIMED fan heater!!! + Hairdryer, cable tv (limited channels), iron, broad games and books. Had everything I needed + Really responsive host, easy to communicate with on the platform , happy to make recommendations and gave thoughtful instructions and information beforehand + Animals on the property (including some cows and alpacas) be careful of electric fence not all were that obvious if you're not familiar with them

- Enough off street parking along the street - Within walking distance to Harbour Street and Friendly Bay - Self check-in and check-out was easy and smooth - Good kitchen, utensils and cutlery were available - Water in bathroom was hot and strong enough for shower

my plans meant I only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer. Really unique hotel, lovely owners and staff, and great location (I had a penguin watch booked which was easily drivable and even walkable). Breakfast is help yourself, you can make toast, there’s an array of fruit, yogurt, cereal too. Parking is available on street on in the supermarket car park out the back. Street parking is free after 5pm.

Roger had thought of everything in the rooms. Heater, blankets anything you needed and more were there. Loved the cozy feel of the house. The sun room is fantastic to see the sunrise in and to have breakfast in. This is just for the car park on the property. If you generally struggle with parking in and out of slightly tight space, I would suggest parking on the street. It's 4 feet away from the house, no biggie. We alternated between in and out depending on the time of day we got in.
