You definitely need a car to get around the island, and I found the beach a bit too far for walking when it was hot. A very relaxing week.

What truly set this stay apart, though, was the host, Steve. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, from offering local tips on the best beaches to making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. His hospitality made us feel welcome and taken care of every step of the way. The location of Da Sugar House is perfect—peaceful and secluded, yet close enough to all the wonderful sights and activities Exuma has to offer. We especially loved spending time on the private porch, enjoying the breeze and the breathtaking scenery. If you're looking for a peaceful and memorable escape in Exuma, I can't recommend Da Sugar House and Steve enough!

Lincoln and Rowena were always friendly and gave us a car. You are right in the middle of the island and it's not far in any direction. They also booked our excursion. They also gave us lots of tips on where to go. I have never had such nice hosts. I can only recommend it!

The people working at Hideaways were outstanding. They were helpful, available, and incredibly kind. The location was great. When it rained hard for a couple days, the grounds and amenities were plentiful. We liked having a restaurant/bar onsite, and we loved being right on the water. And the resort cats - we loved them.
