The very best thing about the stay was the really nice, helpful host Sandro! He gives a lot of detailed tips, even with maps routes and is always approachable and ready to help you with anything. He also speaks really good English, which is great if you're not fluent in Spanish. In general, the hostel is very lovingly, tastefully and comfortably furnished - with woven art on the walls and a small reading corner, a few board games, a nice lounge with a cozy fireplace and a well-equipped kitchen. Everything is very clean and is cleaned regularly. There is also a very good laundry service for 10000 CLP. We even stayed a day longer than planned because we loved it so much. :D

Mi casa chilota, ubicado en Ancud, ofrece alojamiento 8 minutos a pie de Playa Arena Gruesa. Hay wifi gratis disponible en todo el alojamiento. The family is wonderful. They made us feel like we were at home.

Hostal Casa Damasco está ubicado en Ancud, a 15 minutos a pie de Playa Arena Gruesa, y ofrece alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis y salón compartido. The location was amazing. Literally like 1 minute to the coast from the hostel(walking) and only a few blocks from the artisanal market and to the towns’ busy area. The house was decorated beautifully and was very spacious. The host Raúl was very intelligent, well mannered, and informative. Though, I didn’t use it, he offers tours in his Hostel (penguins, the town, etc). Very good communication with him and he recommended us good places to eat and where to visit within Ancud and where to go afterwards. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was perfect. Private parking available upon request. Central AC in the house, so we slept nice and warm.

Cabañas y hostal Aurora está ubicado a 1,9 km de Playa Sabanilla y tiene alojamiento con un jardín, una terraza y cocina compartida para tu comodidad. Es un lugar muy hermoso, con una buena ubicación. Las mascotas son un amor. Todo muy limpio, camadas cómodas, terraza con una gran vista. Pamela es un 10, super preocupada de que estemos cómodos. Volvería sin dudar.

13 Lunas Hostel está ubicado en Ancud, a 18 minutos a pie de Playa Arena Gruesa, y ofrece alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis, salón compartido y una terraza. La calidez de las personas que atienden y cuidan el lugar. Y sobretodo la presencia de la hermosa Dalca.

Cabañas Lomas de Ten Ten es un alojamiento ubicado frente al mar en Castro, a 18 km de Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores y a 26 km de Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Chonchi. La casa es estupenda, tiene vistas al lago, barbacoa y toda la infraestructura necesaria para una estancia cómoda y placentera. Beatriz es rápida en la comunicación y efectiva en brindar soluciones. Muy recomendada.

Globertrotters, ubicado en Castro, en la región de Chiloé, cerca de Iglesia San Francisco de Castro, tiene alojamiento con wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratis. This is, without a doubt, the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at in my entire traveling history, and I’ve visited over 50 countries! The house itself is stunning, filled with beautiful artwork in every corner, creating a warm and creative atmosphere. Everything is impeccably clean, and the location is perfect for exploring. But what made my experience truly unique and unforgettable was the host, Miguel. He is, if not the best, one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met in my life. Kind, hospitable, generous, kind-hearted, cheerful, and easygoing. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe how amazing he is! Thanks to him, I learned so much about Chilean traditions, especially those of Chiloé, as well as its gastronomy and history. If I ever return to Chile (and I definitely will!), I’ll make sure to come back to Castro just to see Miguel again. This place isn’t just a hostel; it’s a home away from home, thanks to the incredible host. 100% recommended!
