Free parking is provided at the hotel. The location is fantastic in town . Off busy street but close to center. The free buffet breakfast was great and although the same every day it offered many choices. Room was comfortable & clean. Great hot water pressure in shower.There is a roof top viewing area where you get a great view of Arenal Volcano. Great helpful friendly staff! It was an added bonus to get into Volcano Hot Springs! It’s a 15min drive from town.

Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal Conservation Area, only 2.7 km from the Arenal Volcano. What a beautiful place. The views are superb to the lake and the volcano. The trails are amazing with a wonderful range of wildlife, and the number of different brightly coloured birds we could watch from the deck really was spectacular. Shame we only had one night there but the staff were happy for us to stay as long as we wanted (we left at about 5pm) on the day that we left.

Villas have a kitchenette and lounge. The standard and superior rooms are set in different areas of the property. Iliked almost everything: location, facilities, room, pools etc. The only thing I would recommend is to give more options in breakfast. lack of vegetables and other healthy options was the only thing I didn’t like in this hotel
