Personally cooked and juiced by our host who took great care in ensuring that it was all as we ordered and delicious. It was wholesome enough to last us until the evening, so we could have a full day having fun without a need for lunch.

That was our best stay in Costa Rica. Julien, the host, has a pure heart full of love for flora, fauna and is a great example of living a pura vida. He gave us best advices of the area, showed us around the property and village. Casa Mambo is very cozy, comfortable and really close to the beach. Breakfasts there were super delicious. We wish we could have stayed longer. Once we get back to CR, we will definately go to Casa Mambo.

The accommodation was spotless, super clean. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. Communication with the host was fast and very professional. The location is very good. Not far away from the city center and the national park. The street where it is located is super quiet.

Breakfast was always delicious and the chocolate is the best I’ve ever had ☺️ The property is beautiful and maintained with love and devotion to the jungle, the wildlife there and nature. Fernando is very knowledgeable and always open to sharing information about the fauna and flora and wildlife. We loved our stay there.

Excellent accommodation set off the road in beautiful grounds amongst tropical trees, plants and the amazing howler monkeys. It was so much better than I expected and also close to the small town within walking distance via a pathway, about 10 minutes walk. I think we saw more wildlife in this area than other places we visited such as Fortuna which is on the recommended tourist trial. You feel like you are in your own little tropical rain forest and rooms are not overlooked . All facilities around the pool are also great.

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. The location is serene, beautiful, quiet and directly across from the beach. Yellow cottage was fantastic with the big covered porch. The owners Marise and Peter wonderful and so helpful with taxi, tours. It is like a nature preserve.

Offering an outdoor pool and water sports facilities, New Caribe Point is located in Cahuita in the Limon Region. Puerto Viejo is 14 km away. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. Staff was amazing, truly wanted to make us comfortable. One of the big reasons we went with this hotel was the availability of the free bikes- which unfortunately kept breaking down. But they went out of their way to fix them for us. We also appreciate the do it-yourself laundry available, and the clean pool to cool off in, during the late afternoon when it’s really hot. The air conditioning worked really well and the location is great; as it is not in the middle of the downtown hustle and bustle. Very close to the national park - we biked there three times! Nice restaurant - Reggae’s - very close. Easy access to stretch of black sand beach that was not full of tourists. We spotted all kinds of tropical birds in the property and a sloth right across the street.

Situated 5 km awayfrom Cahuita in the Limon Region and 18 km from Puerto Viejo, Passion Fruit Lodge boasts an outdoor pool and views of the tropical garden. Cocles is 20 km from the property. An exceptionally beautiful lodge. The two hosts, Delphine and Bert, have created a little paradise. Everything is absolutely beautiful - the garden, the pool in the middle of the jungle, the houses.... The hosts are very nice, helpful and funny. It is close to the very pleasant village of Cahuita. Thank you for the wonderful time with you. We would love to come back. ❤️

Gianluca was a great host with super clear directions, and he helped us map potential places to visit and go eat. I forgot to take pictures, but the lodge was absolutely gorgeous, and our room had all that you needed for visiting Cahuita. Offering a year-round outdoor pool and tropical garden, La Rana De Cahuita is set 5 km away from the centre of Cahuita. Puerto Viejo is 18 km from the property. Secluded beautiful location. Fantastic owners.
