Peacefully located at the foot of the Obersalzberg mountain and just a 3-minute drive from the centre of Berchtesgaden, this hotel provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Everything was great, from the check in onwards. Miss Božica was super kind and professional. The waiter was also extremely courteous. The view from the room was beyond perfect. The hotel has really good calming energy, you will feel like at home.

This family-run 4-star hotel is located in the centre of Bad Reichenhall. AVALON Hotel Bad Reichenhall offers a bar, air-conditioned rooms and free high-speed WiFi.

The non-smoking rooms come with soundproof windows, a flat-screen TV and private bathroom with shower and radio. Some rooms feature a balcony. They offer views of the Alps. This was my second stay at this hotel. The first stay was in October 2024. As usual, the staff was stellar. Every request and inquiry was acted upon with a cheerful smile and prompt efficiency. They delivered 100% especially when I needed it the most. The hotel is situated across the street from the Bad Reichenhall Bahnhof (train station). No worries since the hotel has excellent soundproofing. The public areas along with the room itself were immaculate. The bathroom had all the expected amenities including hair dryer, soaps and a towel warmer. The A/C runs well and can be adjusted. There is an Aldi supermarket and a store specializing in health products and cosmetics nearby. An Italian pizza restaurant is across the street (order the spinach and salmon pizza), and a Bavarian restaurant is a few blocks away. The Avalon is a family-owned and run business so you get that special attention you can’t get at a chain hotel. I highly recommend this property.
