I wasn't expecting a private sauna in the bathroom when I booked (I'm not sure if they advertise that clearly but it was definitely a cool bonus) it heated up properly too (100C+). Facilities are great, lots of cutlery and plates etc, new kitchen facilities. It worked great for me as a night stopover on my road trip.

Ylläs Ski Resort is 2.7 km away. The cabin exceeded our expectations, we felt very comfortable, warm and cosy (even with -25 outside). It is fully equipped with everything you need, we haven't missed anything in the kitchen. It is also exceptionally clean and well maintained. Location was perfect, with privacy of being nestled in the forest, but within a short walk from village center and all the amenities and facilities. We didn't want to leave.

Hotel Ylläshumina is beautifully situated by Lake Äkäslompolo, near the village of Äkäslompolo. Guests have access to the excellent Ylläs ski slopes and a variety of hiking trails through the peaceful Lappish wilderness. We are a mixed couple that traveled all the way from Turku, the cabin was very cozy and warm, close enough to the stores, gas station with a beautiful view towards the ski resort. The breakfast was exceptional!
