We will return as it is in an ideal location for a one night stop for a trip from Calais to Provence.

Within walking distance of the ancient city of Avallon, but also situated in the countryside, this B & B offered everything and we wished we could have stayed longer. Our studio accommodation afforded every comfort and breakfast was charmingly delivered in a basket and left outside the room at whatever time requested. The old farmhouse and gite had a wonderfully rustic feel, as martins and swallows flew in and out of the stables, and it was easy to see how families with children would love the ponies, swimming pool, and many other activities on offer. Very reasonably priced and a place to revisit.

Great value for money Room was homely, clean and comfortable. Gwendoline was a great hostess and made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We had an evening meal which was beautifully presented, delicious and good value. You could have brought your own food and ate it in the communal dining area or in the garden on the patio outside your room. Safe and secure parking for car and bikes. Conveniently situated for Nevers town centre and an enormous Internarche. Pool available for cooling down. This is a friendly, family run business and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We were warmly welcome by the tenants, very nice and accomodating people. The location was exactly as described. The room was in a nice house in stones, in the middle of a small village. Isolated and then perfect for people who likes it quiet, Also accomodating pets, which is nice for people travelling with animals. We enjoyed the garden and the balcony, and the nice breakfast (included in the price) with fresh bread and croissants. We recommend for anyone wanting to stay away from busy towns and still having a nice room and good company if wished as there are other guests in 4 other rooms. One takes the breakfast all together, one can also having diner and interesting activities: discovery of the surrounding and clockwork mechanism (former job of the tenants). It´s not far away from Beaune proposing many activities. We recommend.

Jean-Piere & Marie were very welcoming hosts. It's a beautiful, new hotel - perfect for us as close to the motorway but also very quiet with on site parking. Our room was large & comfortable, with black out curtains. Large bathroom with a walk in shower. Jean-Pierre & Marie (who I believe are both chefs) served us the most delicious 3 course evening meal. Sadly we couldn't stay for breakfast as we had an early start the next day. We'll be back soon though!!
