Situated in Grasmere, 12 km from Windermere, Victorian House features parking is limited and offered on a first come and first served basis. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. Staff couldn't do enough to help... Wonderful stay amazing breakfast...

The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Great location in the center of beautiful Grasmere village. Quiet with some ground around it. Huge comfortable and well equipped rooms. Dedicated parking spots. Great base for starting walks or for going to restaurants and bars in the town. Good breakfast, complimentary scones’n’cream, very helpful staff.

In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. Located in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of eating establishments Breakfast and staff were extremely helpful. Had a room on the top floor with a vertical spiral staircase. Ask for this room. Provided parking which was also a plus. The rate should have been higher as one could not ask for more. Would have paid more without a second thought.

Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Clean, tidy and all the bits you need for a comfortable stay. Lovely location and friendly service.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Professional team who get you to your room quick and efficient. The rooms are simple but modern, spacious and clean. What a pleasure. Onsite parking an absolute bonus.

You can take several nice short walks in the gardens of the property, one leads to the ruins of the Furness Abbey. Make sure that the hotel does not host a wedding during your stay if you want to avoid loud music

The hotel is centrally located. The aesthetics are on point. Rooms are clean, big and stocked with all necessary amenities.The beds are very comfortable. Staff is extremely helpful and attentive to the guests. Facilities like Spa, sauna, swimming pool, lounges, etc. are very much all top notch.

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. Warm cozy atmosphere Friendly staff

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making... 10 out of 10. The whole experience was fantastic especially since it was our Honeymoon we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I mentioned when booking for a jug of dairy free milk, which we received in the room but also in a fridge which from my understanding not all rooms come with, again this was going above the call of duty. The room was amazing and cleaned to perfection. We ordered room service which again was second to none and when we dined at the on site restaurant again absolutely fantastic. We've already suggested that we will be coming back next year for our first anniversary.
