We had a fantastic clean room with a sea view and a super comfy bed. I really enjoyed the hammock on the balcony. 5 minutes distance to the sea, where we had a swim every day. The accommodation offers a big kitchen (bigger than on the pictures). There is a good supermarket at the beginning of the main street, so you will get everything essentially. There is also a little shop for fruits and vegetables and a bakery. WiFi was very good as well. We stayed 5 nights there without any regrets (:

Zapote Tree Inn is located less than 16 minutes from Flores' airport and 4 minutes away from Flores island by boat, located at a privileged point to appreciate sunsets and sunrises overlooking the island and the lake. We loved the paradise Peter has created, the meals, the location. Mowgli was especially helpful in getting us around to the ruins and the beach and then back home again.

The views of the lake are breathtaking, and the tranquil atmosphere made our stay so enjoyable. One of the highlights was having access to water equipment like kayaks, which were included in the stay—such a great perk for exploring the lake. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, especially after reading some of the previous reviews. Out of curiosity, we spoke to the hotel staff about the feedback, and they mentioned they’ve been working hard to improve. It shows! The included breakfast was absolutely delicious and gave us the perfect start to our day. The staff were wonderful—always friendly and eager to help. Getting around the property was seamless, as we never had to wait for a golf cart to take us to our room. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations. From the stunning views to the thoughtful amenities and excellent service, it was a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend it!
