Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. We had a lovely stay. The room was nice and comfortable, the staff friendly, and the surroundings absolutely stunning. Absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the eastern area of Iceland.

Really nice stay here. Thank you Sigri and her dad for helping us because we (four of us) arrived quite late. Love the room and the spectacular view soooooo much and we feel sad that could not stay here for longer! Definitely recommend to all travellers!!!

Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. Best hotel and location on my Iceland trip. Has a spa with a great view and a brewery across the street.
