The hotel is situated just outside of the main part of Akureyri but if you have a car it’s really not a problem and in exchange the views are amazing. You can park you car right outside at the terrace of each room so it’s very easy to move heavy luggage in and out.

The staff was amazing too. We were running late for dinner at the hotel and the restaurant was going to close by the time we got there. The rooms were so cozy, warm and had tons of space and located in a great area to watch the Northern Lights and take pictures. Plenty of parking space for the rooms.
