My husband had lower back pain on the day when we checked in, it takes only 5 seconds from window to car that was really helpful.

Fosshotel Mývatn is located next to Lake Mývatn, 6.8 km to the Mývatn Nature Baths. The hotels provides free WiFi and free private parking. Amazing location, friendly and helpfull staff (especially Kristina), delicious food, close to the attractions

One of the my best stays in Iceland. Enjoyed the outdoor hot bath, which the property also offers indoor sauna (but note operational at selected timings only). The room is lovely with a window overseeing the 'boat on the dock'. There is a common area for people to gather and chat, with central heating in the centre. The breakfast buffet was great too, served in the restaurant, and you get to enjoy nice views as well ... however, they close the restaurant when breakfast is over, meaning all patrons will be asked to adjourn elsewhere. The bar is open in the evenings, but pretty pricey so go easy on the alcohol :)

This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings. Everything, it was just perfect and the breakfast was delicious and varied.

The family-run Vogafjos Guesthouse is set in a unique natural environment on the eastern shore of Lake Myvatn. It offers rooms with a patio and free Wi-Fi. Nice clean room, good beds, very nice lobby where you can see the cows while you eat. The kids liled being able to pet the cows, friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Storigardur Premium Apartments se găsește în Húsavík, la 47 km de Cascada Goðafoss și la 3,4 km de Husavik Golf Club, și are vedere la munte și WiFi gratuit. The apartment was easy to find; close to the Husavík pier (less than ten minutes walking) where we took a whale-watching tour. Very clean, quiet and organised. It was easy to reach via Whatsapp the host of the apartment, Janice. Her messages/answers were prompt and helpful. It was obvious that she cares about making the guests feel comfortable.

Very clean and comfy, quiet and has a great view, as well as a small patio, so a great place to relax. Close to the ring road and F35 which access the highlands. You can make small meals and coffee in the accommodation. Highly recommended.

Ingvar, our host is very quick to respond to my queries and very informative. His home is beautifully set up. Everything we needed was provided. Wifi is excellent. Bunos that there's a laundry ( both washer & dryer) available. Our room was spacious & clean. Whole house was clean. Such a shame we were only there for 1 night. Would've loved to enjoy more of the view whilst having a meal. Hopefully we can come back again.
