The property is exactly as on the pictures, even better. Comfy rooms, hot tub, tasty food, beautiful surroundings…Wake-up call for Nothern lights was also helpful, and you can see them very clearly right from your window, if you are too lazy to go outside. Very good selection of breakfast treats - smoked salmon was so delicious! Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect stay! Would love to stay longer)

We had a lovely one-night stay at Sauðanes Guesthouse during our road trip around Iceland. The location is serene, with breathtaking sea and mountain views right from the balcony—perfect for a quiet and relaxing evening. The room was clean, cozy, and warm, with all the basic amenities provided, including fresh towels and linens. Check-in was smooth and straightforward, and the hosts were kind and welcoming. The property is just a short drive from Höfn, making it a convenient stop along the Ring Road. Highly recommend this guesthouse if you’re looking for a peaceful stay with scenic surroundings and great value. Would definitely stay again!

It was comfortable.

Located on top of a private farm having views of mountains and glaciers from the sit-out. Extremely quiet. Not even a soul could be heard from there. Only sound was sheep and lovely breeze. Beautiful wooden 2 bedroom cottage having every possible thing one might need. Can easily spend 2 days to enjoy it fully. Worth every price and highly recommend it to anyone looking for quiet time in Iceland.

The Potato Storage is offering accommodation in Svínafell, with free WiFi and free private parking. All guest rooms in the motel are fitted with a kettle. It was super remote at the foot of the mountains and Vatnajökull National Park which means that it’s only a 40 min drive to Diamon Beach and the Jökulsarlon Glaciers and there are a lot of other great sights in the area! The apartment is small but cozy and very clean (modernized and renovated). There’s a little kitchen and fridge so you can bring food and cook and they have oil, coffee, tea, salt and pepper there for you to use free of charge. We liked that there was no TV other distractions. Because it’s so remote we got beautiful shows of Northern Lights.

Located by the harbour in Höfn village, Oldairline Guesthouse offers a shared kitchen/lounge, plus free WiFi and parking. Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is a 1-hour drive away. Fabulous stay, spotless, relaxing, easy to find. Lovely host.
