I only stayed for one night to be close to Nokogiri Mt. for hiking, but Ken-ken was extremely helpful and generous while I was there. One of my favorite memories from my two week trip to Japan will be my stay in this little town of Hota, much thanks to Ken-ken's hospitality and guidance for places to visit and eat at while I stayed. He recommended the cutest izakaya when I told him I was looking for dinner and a few beers called Rest Inn Wassup! The owner and cook there were so nice, and we had a good time visiting even though we were mostly speaking through Google Translate. Please don't be afraid to visit this little town if you want to see some authentic Japanese small-town life and great hiking. I was able to get around fairly easily, but be aware the public transportation is limited and it can get dark in the neighborhood at night. Rest assured, though, if you stay with Ken-ken, he will make your stay comfortable and worthwhile!

Hotel Springs Makuhari Premier está muy bien situado en el barrio de Mihama Ward, Chiba, a 15 km de Shopping Mall SHOPS, a 16 km de Chiba Museum of Science and Industry y a 16 km de Ichikawa City... Peaceful retreat from the nearby convention. Beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. Lovely view of the incoming trains and foot traffic of the train station nearby, just far enough away to not be noisy. Delicious breakfast.

【 Nona 九十九里 】 テラスでBBQ 九十九里の一棟貸切宿。 se encuentra en Kujukuri, a 39 km de Terminal 2 del Aeropuerto Narita, a 40 km de Templo Naritasan Shinshoji y a 40 km de Naritasan Park. It's super clean and new (very clean!). It was very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen appliances were complete and beautiful. The entire house was nicely designed. Very open concept layout and spacious. The balcony was outstanding for breakfast on a sunny day. Check in was smooth and parking was spacious.

Mieko-san and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming. Mieko-san even hosted a small workshop where we made souvenirs together and she let me try on some of her beautiful kimonos. They were eager to share their knowledge of Japanese culture, especially unique aspects of life in Tako-machi. The ryokan itself is cozy and makes you feel at home. It was clean, comfortable, and full of character. We would come back to this ryokan for the owners alone, but the town also has its charm - letting us experience authentic japanese everyday life on the country side. Our stay in Tako-machi and Masugataya Ryokan was truly unforgettable<3

Hillside Inn Sirocco se encuentra en Tateyama, a 1,7 km de Santuario Awa, y ofrece vistas al mar. We really liked this place, owner very helpful despite limited English. Lovely comfortable room with a view towards the ocean. They have a hot bath which you have to book (small fee), very nice.

Just in front of the scenic Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple, Wakamatsu Honten is a charming local property featuring large public baths and non-smoking Japanese-style rooms with free WiFi. I think staying in a ryokan is a MUST during a trip to Japan in order to get to know the japanese culture and tradition, and Wakamatsu Honten is perfect for such an experience. I wished we could stay longer, and the next time I'm in Japan I am defienetly coming back. The personnel is lovely, the location literally couldin't be better and rooms are beautiful - sleeping on the futon is so comfy! I would recommend eating here, we had an opportunity to get breakfast there and it was a traditional buddhist breakfast which was delicious and very educating. The common bath was wonderful. I really cannot express how much we liked it there and what an extraordinary experience it all was.
