No food served at the placed but this was clearly communicate up-front. The kitchen facilities are excellents and great selectrions of coffee and tea are provided. The room was beyound expectation - traditional Japanese in every littel details. You need your own car (or taxi) to get there and you do not need to worry about crossing the submersible bridge; it is part of a wonderful experience.

EkimaehouseSamaru ligger i Shimanto-cho, 35 km fra Ichijo Shrine og 35 km fra Tamematsu Park. Overnatningsstedet ligger ca. Exceptional in every sense! I loved my stay. The host is the nicest owner you could ever meet, so friendly, so willing to help and a good linguist too. I cannot thank him enough for the kind welcome and advice on where to cycle next. The house is much bigger than the photos show with really cool lounging about spaces all over! Much love and care has gone into making the place feel fun and comfortable. Stay as many nights as you can! The local restaurants are excellent and there’s a local supermarket and plenty of sake!

The guesthouse was conveniently located near the airport and the freeway, making it easy to access our destination, Dogo Onsen. Initially, I was concerned about parking, but the guesthouse was on a wide road, which is important to know when renting a car in Japan. It was simple to maneuver in and out of the parking spaces located behind the house. The guesthouse was in the town of Noichi, where we enjoyed delicious meals at nearby restaurants. Additionally, its central location between my two other destinations, Kochi-shi and Aki-shi, meant that I didn't have to drive a lot in one day. Our host, Kyoko-san, was incredibly friendly and kind. Since it was the off-season, she gave the three of us two rooms, which allowed for a comfortable stay. I slept well during our time there. Unfortunately, I lost a hubcap from the rental car—it's a long story. On our departure morning, Kyoko-san went out of her way to prepare breakfast for my son and me. After saying our goodbyes, Kyoko-san called to inform us that my son had left his passport and charger behind. She kindly brought them all the way to the airport for us. Overall, I felt that the guesthouse was truly a home away from home.

Takao and Shie were two of the sweetest humans we have ever met. They provided an amazing experience. The views, the opportunities for outings in their beautiful village, their warm welcome and thorough explanation of the home's features made this stay incredibly memorable for our family. If we are lucky enough to return to this beautiful area, we will ABSOLUTELY be staying at Guest House En again.
