Amazing Hotel, even though it is a very traditional and old place, the rooms are very modern and renovated with all the amenities one can think of. Onsen is good too, but very hot. The beach is literally just across the road! The rooms all have an ocean view. Staff is extremely friendly and breakfast is also great. Just watch out to book dinner if possible, as there are not many options to eat around town if you don’t want to take the car.

The bath area is small, but you schedule your personal bath time. Food is incredible, a must try when visiting Zao. Location is near the main attractions, like the cable car is reachable by walking. Lots of nearby onsens.

The food was brilliant, the staff were absolutely fantastic and the facilities were above and beyond. We had a wonderful time there

Luggage storage is offered at the front desk. The staff were brilliant and very friendly despite a language barrier with some, shuttling me to and from the station and helping me book a dinner reservation separate from my room booking. The room was as described but that's not a negative, it was a great experience with the footbath and private onsen. Recommend the dinner highly for a local kaiseki offering in a private room.

Amazing food and kind staff who were very attentive and accomodating. Hertiage buikding was an amazing serene setting for a holiday.
