It was the best hotel experience in my whole life! Safari taken to a new level of comfort - when animals come right to you. We saw all kind of animals coming to the lake - zebras, antipopes, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, monkeys, even a lioness! All from the comfort of our balcony and the restaurant. We have been so amazed! Cherry on top, one evening we heard and then saw an elephant eating a bush right under our balcony. Also, this is one of the most comfortable hotels/safari experiences to get to from Nairobi. We took a luxurious train from Nairobi Terminus (about 3 hours), and then 1 hour hotel shuttle through the park. Staff, food, rooms, amenities - everything was on top. Thank you so much for this beautiful weekend, one of the best in my life!

The property was located in the city centre, the entry to the building and the building itself looked safe. The flat was clean, the bed was very comfortable, we were able to cook very well thanks to the equipped kitchen. Just consider, that the flat doesn’t have AC (fan available) and is a bit loud because of the very central position. Our host was super responsive, answered all our questions immediately, helped us arrange a safari quickly and efficiently (for a fair price). We would stay there again.

It feels so luxury and at the same time you’re surrounded by nature. It’s very private and you even have your own outdoor kitchen and outdoor shower (with warm water! The first warm water we had in Kenya!) There is a little village at just 5 minute walk where you can buy fruits, vegetables, chapati, fried potatoes and meat. Serah is an amazing host. Very fast in her response and she’s able to help you with all of the activities: safari in Tsavo west or east, an amazing hike through the mountains or a waterfall trip. Her vision and entrepreneur spirit is amazing to see and she has some great advices. Thank you so much for everything and hopefully we’ll be back one day!

Honestly it was so clean and comfortable. I had excellent communication with the host throughout. They only accept cash payment which we agreed on the currency over WhatsApp. The place was very easy to find on Google maps. Parking is secure and abundant. There is a lift to take your luggage. The apartment is situated on the 5th floor and has the most amazing view and breeze. The place is well ventilated and has fans in every room which are powerful. There were no bugs at all, the accomodation is well lit and everything is clean and well maintained. The shower pressure is fantastic and there was hot water throughout. There was an en suite in the master bedroom and a family bathroom outside for the other 2 bedrooms. Both rooms have double beds and families fit here comfortably. We chose to buy dinner in Mash Poa and Java coffee a few days but we also cooked basics for breakfast and lunch for the kids. It is a gas stove and there are utensils to make pasta, fry eggs, boil rice etc. We visited Voi Wildlife Lodge to have some sundowners and watch the animals. We visited Tsavo East and Tsavo West. We saw more animals in Tsavo West. This location was a perfect jumping off spot to visit both places. My husband and son came with our driver by road whereas my parents and I took the train. The train was extremely comfortable and the 4 hour journey flew by. I highly highly recommend this accommodation. It is comfortable, functional and well priced. The guys at the gate remove the rubbish and are available to help out if needed. We bought groceries from Nairobi but there are 3 supermarkets in town and you get the basics there..

David has built this lodge over the past 14 months, its really quite amazing. It's a quiet area, very few mosquitoes, perfect for resting between safaris. The garden of traditional crops throughout the grounds is interesting. The ecotone is perfect for birding. David is very knowledgeable and kind. He will organize game drives and pick you up from Voi train station. We plan to return in a few months.
