Everything here is perfect, it was quite possibly the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka and that includes places like the Heritance Kandalama which was dramatically more expensive. The property: Perfectly manicured and beautiful gardens with flowers everywhere. The building is beautiful with detailed wood finishing on all surfaces except the floor which is covered in beautiful plush carpeting which contributes to reduced noise from people walking around. All guests and staff remove their shoes and wear provided slippers around the property to ensure the floors are nice and clean. There’s also a pool table in the lobby. The room: A+ comfortable bed with down duvet, crisp sheets and more pillows than Martha Stewart would have on her bed - with a variety of thickness and firmness so anyone’s preference will be met. Super clean from top to bottom, excellent bathroom and shower with stone finishing and a jacuzzi tub which we used and it worked well. Television with Comedy Central so that made me happy at night. Clean glasses, coffee, tea, and one of the few rooms in Sri Lanka with a working refrigerator that had a small freezer for ice which was readily available from the hotel. Breakfast: We had the western and it was fantastic. I’m sure the Sri Lankan breakfast would be even better. Too much food though. Location: walking distance to the town center but far enough that it was very quiet at night and minimal tuktuk noise in the morning. Staff: attentive, kind, service oriented and professional - we have found this to be standard throughout Sri Lanka but it was even better here.

Very nice, clean place with ok location. The staff was beyond helpful and nice - they arranged tuk tuk daily rent for us to see all the main attractions (tea plantations, waterfall,..) - highly recommend, because the driver knows where to stop and what to see 😁 Breakfast was great and you also have an option to get dinner. Don’t really have any other photos, so just in case you have time - you have monopoly in the lobby 😛

The host was incredibly kind and helpful. He arranged tuktuks for our longer rides at a good price, which made everything so much easier. We enjoyed breakfast and had also dinner at a very good price. One morning, when we left for a hike very early, he even prepared a breakfast to go, which was such a thoughtful gesture. His whole family is truly lovely and welcoming.

We stayed 03rd January 2025. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and super helpful. The hospitality was great and always served with a smile. Food also amazing. The hosts were amazing, always attentive, super kind, polite and had attention to every single detail. The food was great (we had breakfast, lunch and dinner). The room was out of this world, super comfortable, clean, cosy, and warm. We caught a storm while we were there, so there was not much to do outdoors, luckily there was streeming service so we spent the afternoon watching a movie to spend the time. The shower had the perfect temperature and pressure, and they had all the ameneties! Honestly, I was super happy with our stay!! Thank you so much!

The Best Homestay in Nuwara Eliya – A True Local Experience! This family-run homestay gave us the most authentic and heartwarming experience of Sri Lankan hospitality. Our room was spotlessly clean and cozy, with an absolutely charming flower-filled balcony that made sunrise magical. Our host, Sanjaya, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. He was so welcoming and caring, taking us to a gems shop and patiently waiting while we explored, helping us find perfect jackets, bringing us to amazing local restaurants, and showing us around Nuwara Eliya. The next morning after serving us a delicious homemade breakfast, he kindly drove us to the train station himself. What makes this place truly special is how the whole family makes you feel at home. If you want more than just accommodation but a genuine cultural experience with the kindest hosts, don't look further. Our highest recommendation! ✨
