We’re really glad we chose the Mailagama Cinnamon Residence for our stay in Kataragama. The staff treated us with great respect and warm hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed the hoppers dinner with its absolutely delicious curries. We must also mention that the curd and honey were the best we’ve ever had.

My hosts couldn’t have made me feel any more welcome. They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

Thanks to all the friendly staff who made our stay memorable. They were beyond helpful. There is such a special relaxed atmosphere and we loved everyone second of it. We were travelling with our kids aged 3, 5 and 9 as well as my mother in law and we all enjoyed it. We spend four nights here, and one day it was raining all day and we still enjoyed every bit of. Wonderful, spacious hang-out areas, great selection of books and games. And I will really recommend everyone to take a walk around the lake. A special thanks to the owner Anne, who is really making an effort in contributing to the community and village. We love you vision of leadership and we really hope to come back one day. Thanks 🙏

Det luksuriøse øko-agro-resort Jetwing Kaduruketha - Level 1 Certified er inspireret af den traditionelle landsby. Liked everything…staff were brilliant, so helpful and caring. Our paddy view room was really lovely, comfortable bed and great bathroom. Pool was fantastic, 25m long and very clean and warm. We had half board and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Loved the location, just wish we’d booked and extra night to explore the surrounding area.

Great communication between Sam’s place and us before we travelled ensuring all our needs were met when we arrived.
