It’s really value for money - especially for the family who runs it. Shanta and his wife did their best to make me feel welcome and taken care of - they are so kind and friendly. I also had dinner here and it was homemade and delicious. The room is simple but you have the basic conditions you need. The location is also good - even though it’s a bit far from the ruins, the way to it is by the lake, which makes up for it! Thank you very much!

Nice place and very nice staff. I came the completely sick and the manager was very caring and helpful. We didn’t miss anything in this place. And very close to archeological park.

Lake Cabin se află în Polonnaruwa, la aproximativ 2,5 km de Gal Viharaya și la 2,9 km de Polonnaruwa Vatadage, și pune la dispoziție camere cu climatizare și baie privată. Everything was great. Both cabins are very neat and clean and cozy with charming views on the lake. Dinner and breakfast were delightful. What makes it special is a fact that you can rent bikes and explore Polonnaruwa by yourself (or with the great host). There are many monkeys, birds and cows around. We slept like babies, no mosquitos.

I really enjoyed my stay, the room and bathroom facilities were very very clean and we had a great balcony where we enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Homemade food was delicious, and we really felt welcome. We really appreciated the bike rent that is very convetient to go visit the sacred city from the home stay. I recommend 100% to stay at this lovely family place :) thank you !

Beautiful location, very comfy bed and such friendly hosts! I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to go to Polonnarawu. It’s very affordable and the location is right next to the ancient city. You can get a bicycle to get around. The food is amazing, the wife of the host is a truly amazing chef. Every night we would go for a little wild life walk, free of charge! He also helped me to arrange a safari tour, which was very affordable; I was by myself and I paid the entrance fee and I had a my own driver/guide and in total I did not spend more than €75,-!! I would recommend everyone going here!
