Located in Udawalawe, NATURE HOUSE offers rustic accommodation with free WiFi access available at all areas. Rooms are comfortable, clean and fitted with a spacious private terrace. STAY HERE. I don’t even know where to begin. Will start with service and staff- amazing. So kind, friendly, helpful. Food - amazing, dinner buffet was great. Rooms were clean comfortable and had everything you need. Pool was clean, large and perfect. Value is AMAZING! We did the safari, 4 hours, by ourselves. I could not believe the price. In fact, the whole two day stay there is what we spend on a meal out at home in Bangkok. Just fantastic. And then we had a change of plans that meant we could not stay the extra night we booked. They were wonderful and didn’t charge us. In December! The busiest time of the year. Again, just stay here!

Exceptional facilities and amazing 5 star staff for low price. The hotel manager and his wife as well as the rest of the personnel have been exceptionally kind to us during our day. I arrived sick and they kindly brought me to the doctor, made me rice porridge and juice to recover. We ended up staying one night more and arranged us to stay in the same room. I got a bit better the day after and was able to do the elephant safari that the manager kindly organized for us. Finally he arranged a car to ella at a good price as well. The room was very clean and well furnished, the pool was clean and new and we could see a bunch of animals in the trees nearby. The food cooked was also delicious. Would definitely recommend you to stay there !!!

The cottages are beautiful, so comfortable, from the huge bed, to the super clean bathroom and the terrace invites you to sit and relax in the middle of the most beautiful garden. The owner greeted us with a welcome drink and even organised milk for our baby late at night when we arrived. It looks amazing in the pictures and even better in real! Best accommodation we had during our trip in Sri Lanka! This place deserves the best rating ever!

My stay in this house felt like a dream. The entrance to the room is surrounded by greenery, giving the impression of being in the middle of the jungle. We also had a safari organized with them, led by a young and capable guide, and it was a wonderful experience. Breakfast in the national park was not only very pleasant but also delicious. Dinner, however, was not satisfying compared to other meals we had in Sri Lanka — the portion of chicken was very small, and overall the food felt a bit lacking.

First of all, thanks to all the staff members. They are extremely friendly and helpful young guys and definitely made my stay better. The hotel is much more beautiful than the pictures, I was really really impressed. My room was perfect, very stylish, big and comfortable. I had A/C and a fan, a refrigerator, selection of tea and coffee, bottled water. It's a dreamy place and I loved it. Food is also amazing. I had packed breakfast everyday and it was really good and I was out in the forest all day so did not have lunch. But the dinners, oh my god. Fantastic food, amazing ambience. I can not recommend this place enough. I'm definitely going back and probably staying longer than my previous 4 day visit.

We had the best time spending two days/ nights at the Maika Safari Lodge. The beds were comfortable and the shower hot and powerful but what really makes this place special is the amazing family that runs it. Everyone was so lovely and they helped us organise a safari in the nearby Udawalawe National Park where we got to see loads of elephants, water buffalos and countless species of birds. Our driver was super nice, knowledgeable and spoke great English. If you have time, we highly recommend you also join in with one of their cooking classes and learn how to cook traditional SriLanken dishes. So delicious!
