The room was spacious and really well designed, with excellent facilities. Tasty buffet style breakfast served in a beautiful café. Great location.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Smaakvol Slochteren, I will certainly stay here again during my next visit to Groningen! Comfortable bed, nice room, excellent breakfast and I could even sit and relax in the garden. Ellen was so attentive and helpful in giving tips and suggestions, making the stay so nice! I stayed here for four nights and during one of the days they offered me to use one of the bicycles so I could explore the area by bike and enjoy the countryside of Groningen during a nice sunny day. Also the tip regarding a local garden center was excellent. Big thanks!

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Hotel Watertoren West is a recently renovated aparthotel set in Groningen, 1.4 km from Simplon Music Venue. There is a private entrance at the aparthotel for the convenience of those who stay. The aparthotel features family rooms. The fact that it's a converted water tower speaks for itself - it's really a one-of-a-kind experience. I had the penthouse room and you can see the entire city's skylines from every window. Apparently it's only been opened recently, but either way it looks very new and very well maintained.
