A perfect place to stay to explore the Nelson Lakes area. Super clean and comfortable with lots of history and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Really lovely hosts who even let us feed the alpacas! Would highly recommend.

We stayed in the Sunset room which had a lovely deck to sit on overlooking the garden. Clean comfortable room. Close to the beach. Just around the corner from shops and pub.

Leigh was an exceptional host. Wonderfully unique accommodation set in beautiful gardens. Felt like we were staying with a friend. If we ever manage back to this part of New Zealand we will stay for longer.

The room was very spacious and extremely clean. In fact, it was cleaner than any other hotel I’ve stayed at in New Zealand on my three week trip. Sometimes staying in someone’s home can feel uncomfortable, but this was not the case at all. Julie was so welcoming, and the guest rooms are on the top floor and each have their own private amenities. Julie was incredibly kind, offering helpful information about the area, and she went above and beyond by doing our dishes, refreshing the breakfast food in the fridge, and tidying up every day. The neighborhood is super cute and peaceful too, and our room had a lovely view of the mountains. This was definitely a better deal than any other hotel in the area. I would absolutely stay here again.

The whole place has great vibes — calm, welcoming, and really well looked after. The owners are super friendly and genuinely make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely set up, and the view was absolutely beautiful. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!
