All stone houses and views of the valley and the next village over with the terraced gardens. Very nice hike with lots of steps up and down to the terraced gardens. Very tasty dinner and breakfast, recommended to add this! We only stayed one night but I would recommend two or three to soak in the views and atmosphere and enjoy the facilities. Great communication, easy pick up for transport up the mountain and back again to the car.

He has big fluffy blankets, comfortable chairs, and a library of interesting books on Omani forts, geology, and wadis. You could spend a winter here easily. The kitchen is set up in a logical way and is easy to work in. Ahmed himself is very kind and sent his brother to rescue me when I had car trouble on the mountain. A next door neighbor gave me a tour of his rose water distillery. Good vibes in the whole town. Basically, you couldn’t ask for better.

It’s located a bit remotely, about 15 minutes from the main road, and a 4x4 car is recommended. The location is surrounded by beautiful nature, offering a peaceful and scenic environment. The staff was incredibly friendly and prepared a delicious dinner (4 OMR), including chicken, beef curry, dahl, rice, and hummus. Breakfast was tasty too. There are also some hiking options in the area. Overall, it’s a fantastic place if you’re looking for a quiet place in nature.

We chose this location mainly for its convenient position near the highway and its proximity to Barka city center, just a 10-minute drive away. The room was really nice, spacious, and clean. The price fully matched the quality. Special thanks to the hotel staff. We forgot a tablet, and after our check-out, they contacted us immediately. Not everyone would do that. Thank you again! We were satisfied, and we can recommend this hotel. The hotel did not offer breakfast, but it was not a problem as there is a supermarket directly across from the hotel.
