The staff are welcoming and attentive. The on site cafe has excellent coffee which can be enjoyed on the sunset deck. The owner is friendly and very hospitable. Him and his staff evidently enjoy hosting visitors and take pride in the service they provide.

I stayed at The Suwgra for one night with my wife and three children (ages 17, 15, and 8), and we were truly amazed. The location, the views, and the surrounding landscape were absolutely stunning. This is not a typical hotel but a centuries-old village home, beautifully built into the cliffs of Al Suwgra, a village inhabited for over 500 years. The traditional architecture, both exterior and interior, took us back in time and gave us a rare chance to experience the charm of authentic village life in a very exotic setting. The view, the cool mountain air, the rain and mist, and the peaceful silence were unforgettable. Check-in was smooth, and all the staff were friendly, professional, and spoke good English. We were picked up from the meeting point in Birkat Al Mouz. We stayed in the Al Barsha Suite, which had three bedrooms and four beds—very clean and comfortable. Amenities like hot water, tea/coffee, and stable Wi-Fi made the stay even better, especially considering the remote mountain setting. We also went on a lovely morning hike near the guesthouse. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious and full of authentic local flavors. Meals were served in a scenic dining area, and lunch must be ordered in advance as it’s freshly prepared home-cooked food. The location is absolutely magical—peaceful, scenic, and far from the typical tourist experience.

Perched 2000 metres above sea level, Alila Jabal Akhdar is an ultra-luxurious resort with views of the Al Hajar Mountains. Everything was perfect.Location and views are breathtaking, hotel is amazing, every detail is so well planned. Food is amazing, staff is really kind and helpful. We would defiantly come back

Just incredible - beautifully refurbished traditional Omani house in one of the mountain villages which do not typically have hotels. 3 big rooms and stunning terrace where you can view the sunset. The village does not have cars but the house is a short 2 min walk from the car park so easy to bring your luggage. Very kind staff and warm reception :) There is a rooftop cafe and well curated museum 10 meters away and a nice restaurant 10 min walk away.
