Him and his staff evidently enjoy hosting visitors and take pride in the service they provide.

The kitchen is set up in a logical way and is easy to work in. Ahmed himself is very kind and sent his brother to rescue me when I had car trouble on the mountain. A next door neighbor gave me a tour of his rose water distillery. Good vibes in the whole town. Basically, you couldn’t ask for better.

Just incredible - beautifully refurbished traditional Omani house in one of the mountain villages which do not typically have hotels. 3 big rooms and stunning terrace where you can view the sunset. The village does not have cars but the house is a short 2 min walk from the car park so easy to bring your luggage. Very kind staff and warm reception :) There is a rooftop cafe and well curated museum 10 meters away and a nice restaurant 10 min walk away.
