Kookai and Wun (the owners) are AMAZING! We were made to feel so welcome and everything was designed to make us happy and help us. Kookai and Wun are fun and will help you with anything. They helped sort out our onward travel - ferry and taxi transfer at half the price we were quoted by our next home stay/hotel. The bungalow was clean and situated in lovely gardens. The food was consistently of a high standard. Kookai helped my wife get her hair cut!!! Kookai also gave my wife a motorbike ride to the beach when I took the bungalow key!! Sunset/Charlie beach is a 4 minute walk away - one of the best beaches in Thailand.

Enjoying breakfast while taking in the breathtaking views from the restaurant was an experience in itself — peaceful, scenic, and unforgettable. My room view was absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere throughout the entire resort is calming and refreshing. Every detail inside the room — from the décor to the layout to the small thoughtful touches — was perfectly curated to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Kachonghills Tented Resort is one of those rare places where everything just feels right. The combination of exceptional hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and meticulous attention to detail makes it a stay you’ll remember. This hotel simply makes you feel good. Highly recommended!

Strong air conditioning! Location. Clean, large room on second floor with floor to ceiling windows, natural light and a huge covered balcony. Comfortable beds. Work desk with seat. The rooms are set back off the main road and were quiet and peaceful. It is a two minute walk to the restaurants and shops. Three minute tuktuk ride to the pier. Staff was friendly and efficient. We rented a scooter from the staff which I highly recommend. The swimming beach is on the opposite side of the island; we rode the scooters there.

Great location near shops, restaurants and Tuk Tuks for Charlie Beach. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. If you want a western breakfast you can't beat their sourdough toast and delicious homemade yoghurt. Their homemade coconut ice cream served with mango and peanuts is sheer bliss. They also have a shop with a much more interesting selection of clothing than anywhere else on the island. I'd definitely go back.
