Cannot state it enough! When I first arrived into the room I was gobsmacked at how gorgeous it was. Huge windows next to bed, a cute little balcony area too with stretching views of the ocean, the mountains and the village. Sunset was particularly gorgeous, highly recommend sitting on balcony or bed and watching the sly change colour as the sun goes down. The clouds were insanely beautiful! Room itself was very nice layout, loved having the bed next to the window and the TV worked well. Bathroom was clean and cozy. Location wasn't as hard to find as I was expecting, just got a taxi to drop me off on the main road behind, near the temple. Walked down a small road past an empty basketball court, kept going down following the signs. Its about a 5 min walk. Perfect location to enjoy Jiufen old street!

We had a comfortable 2-night stay at the homestay, recharging from the hectic shopping spree at Taipei. Homestay was clean and cozy with great view. Unfortunately, the weather was not favorable and we did not get to see the best view of the ying yang sea. Host was super friendly and helpful, helping us to move the luggage to-and-fro transport and accommodation. Besides making breakfast for us, she also bought dinner for us from a nearby Ruifang food court. Transport was also arranged to bring us to the airport when we checked out. Despite the poor weather, we had very pleasant experience and hope to come again in future, hoping that the weather will be good and we can enjoy full view of the scenery.

The hotel is clean and is located a walking distance to the old street. It is also located high up so that you can get a view of the area when the weather is clear, and the area around the hotel is quiet. We came late in the evening. The housekeeper/owner asked us if we have eaten dinner. When we said no, he kindly gave us free cup noodles since most of the restaurants were already closed. There were complimentary snacks and tea on the common area by the reception. We were unfortunate with the weather, as it was raining the whole day after we arrived. It was good that they have umbrellas that guests can borrow from the hotel. The umbrellas are very practical to have when the rain is light or moderate, but not when it is heavy and windy. When we got back to the hotel, our clothes and shoes were soaking wet. It was good that we had a shoe dryer in the room, as well as dehumidifier. The owner/housekeeper can only talk Chinese, but we had good communication with the help of Google Translate. The hotel is located near a charming cafe that looks like a greenhouse from inside. The hotel has a partnership with the cafe, so we got 10% off our orders. The cafe serves good breakfast and tea.

We had the Deluxe apartment with the bathroom and it was just perfect, very clean and reasonably spacious. There is a parking lot and the general room/hall for everyone on the ground floor. There one can just relax or have a coffee or a tea for free. The owner was very nice and ready to help.

This was such a great location to get into Juifen as well as all of the walking and hiking trails in the area. The house had everything, it felt like home! The host was the kindest man, was so extremely helpful with advice, recommendations in the bad weather, and showing me around the area out of pure kindness. What a special stay in Taiwan.
