We had a great stay at Germain's as a base to explore Ganvié. Christopher kept in touch with me before hand suggesting an itinerary to make the most of my stay. The options and pricing were really clear as well as the times. He made the transfers to and from Ganvié really easy. The staff were lovely. The food was great. It was a nice location outside the centre of town. Other hotels seemed more in the town where it was noisy. It's a unique experience and Germain's is the best place to do that.

I and my family had a great time. We spent three days to visit Cotonou. The Conseirge came to direct us to the location when we arrived. He explained everything well and was very helpful. There was light and water but we had to load more credit cuz we are a big family. The place is exactly as advertised. I also appreciated the cleanliness when we arrived- there were also cleaners who came to clean on Saturday.

The location is very good, right on the main road, with places to get transport right beside and opposite. The cordiality and help of the staff was very great. Almonde and the concierge did a wonderful job for both check-in and check-out. I needed to leave early and they were able to provide an earlier than normal breakfast. I'll be happy to recommend them to anyone visiting or transiting through Cotonou.

The owner and his family member are so kind and helpful! I kept coming back to this place again and again just because I feel like this is my private space and feel comfortable. Very tidy and well kept. Especially for those who do self catering, it is good place to stay. I stayed in several hotels and apartments in Porto Novo for work and try to find a nice place. This is the best buy for the value and comfort! Just for your reminder. Since the cost of electricity is so high in Benin and many local people use the fan instead. Someone like me, who really wants to have AC even though the cost is high, I am willing to pay extra as I spent. I stayed in the apartment in Proto Novo where the owner offered only fan due to the cost cut. I couldn't sleep at all at night because of the heat! Of course it depends on what you want. I just chose the place to make myself comfortable, so that I can work more efficiently. This place meets my need.
