We loved the location inside the ancient city. The service was outstanding. They picked us up and took our luggage to the gorgeous guest house. It was only a 9 minute walk to the closest gate where we were picked up for our day tours. We extended our stay for a total of 6 nights because of the convenient location and excellent price. They packed us delicious sandwiches for our early day tours and privided outstanding fresh brewed coffee each day. The coffee was the best I've had at any Chinese hotel. The beds and bedding were top of the line and super comfortable. We appreciated the chance to do laundry. Soap and drying racks on the roof top patio were provided. Sanqian at the desk went above and beyond her service duties to accommodate us and help us find good restaurants and bars.

Amazing guesthouse, one of my favourite stays of all time. You can ask the hotel to book transportation or package to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which is convient than you book by yourself. The entire staff were very friendly and accommodating, I will recommend my friend to come and stay there.

Our stay at Zen Garden Hotel Lijiang was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. The hotel is beautifully designed, blending traditional Naxi style with modern comfort, and the peaceful garden courtyard truly lives up to the name “Zen Garden.” The rooms were spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated, with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. Waking up to the serene atmosphere and views was a highlight of our trip. The location is perfect—quiet and relaxing, yet within easy walking distance of Lijiang Old Town. A very special mention goes to Jimmy, whose outstanding hospitality truly made our stay unforgettable. He went above and beyond to help us with recommendations and local tips, always with a friendly attitude and genuine care. Another heartfelt thank you to the kind aunty who prepares breakfast every morning—her delicious, home-style breakfasts were a wonderful way to start each day and made us feel truly cared for. One small but important note for future guests: to fully enjoy both the hotel and discovering Lijiang on foot, guests should be reasonably fit, as there are stairs to walk up and down and plenty of cobbled paths to explore. For us, this only added to the charm and authentic experience of the area. If you’re looking for a tranquil, charming, and high-quality stay in Lijiang, Zen Garden Hotel is an outstanding choice. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Two lovely cats around and the room was just the same with the pictures. Staffs were not familiar with English but still very helpful in the property and by message either. It was very pleasant stay to be here and want to go back if I have a chance later.

The homestay enjoys a prime location, near the South Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town, with convenient transportation and a beautiful surrounding environment. The room environment is exactly to my liking, and it offers extremely high - cost performance. Both the service and facilities exceeded my expectations. The housekeeper warmly entertained us, was responsive to all requests and answered all questions, making us feel at home. There is a private parking lot, free charging piles, and a laundry room. There is an elevator on all four floors. The young men and women at the inn greet us warmly when we enter and leave, and they help us make travel plans to avoid tourist traps. The environment of the store is simply breathtaking. The stay experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend it!
