We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 10 years and it never fails to delight us. Some of the staff greeted us like old friends even though this was our first visit since 2021. The food and facilities are all superb. As with all great hotels its is the staff that make it special.

The apartment is spacious and well equipped - even coffee, filters, sugar, and creamer were on hand. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes etc. if you want to save on the cost of eating out. It had been prepared for us with love and pride.

This was an amazing find for our stop over to Bavaria, beautiful, peaceful location, very warm friendly welcome by all staff. The food was excellent; we had the set menu on our first night, and on the way back we stayed again and had the special Valentine's menu and they catered for our son. We had the Geniesser studio which was very clean and spacious. Would highly recommend; can't wait to come back. Thank you to all at Saarschleifenlodge.

    Lovely studio apartment, with an inside bike store, access to laundry facilities and a fridge. Everything for a pair of bike tourers. The room was immaculate and there was a kettle plus coffee maker, so we were sorted for breakfast drinks. Super bistro 200m up the hill, open Fri - Sun. Supermarket just down the hill 500m. Location overlooking the river in the midst of vineyards is perfect.

    We like everything about this hotel. It is the perfect location when travelling between our home in Austria and our visits to family and friends in UK. Friendly staff. Good sized rooms. Kettle in the room. Excellent restaurant. Be sure to reserve a table.
