Javier was a super host! He made a great breakfast and 3 course dinner, was very friendly and went above and beyond with advice for different treks as he used to be a guide. Also, he would help with anything you need. We were a bit cold at night so he gave us a heater and a large blanket. The location is really close to the main highway so it's easy to get to and to go on day trips but you're far away enough in nature that you don't realize it. They have a nice kitchen and a nice common area with a fireplace. There wearnt many people so it's quieter, which for me was nice to have a small group vibe.

Everything was amazing! The communication from booking to arriving was great on how to get to the accommodation! The staff were so friendly and helpful! When we checked in we were given a bigger room to make our stay more comfortable! The restaurant on site is great and the food was all delicious including the breakfast which had a good selection to choose from! The animals on site were a very cute touch! Lots of chickens and ducks, and 2 Llamas that were very friendly and we got to feed carrots! They also can help with tours - we did the Cotopaxi base camp walk/hike - it was just us two with the guide and great value including lunch! They also offer affordable laundry!

Lovely little farmhouse. The rooms are a good size and clean. Our room had a fireplace that we used throughout the night - it was wonderful. The beds also has heated blankets. We were very warm! Great breakfast, with oats, toast and eggs. Helpful staff who gave us lots of tips about Cotopaxi Lots of cute dogs on the property!

If I could give this place more than ten, I would. Our stay there was wonderful and Paulina was simply the loveliest host I have ever met on my travels. Her mother also cooked us a three course meal that was delicious and enormous - and for a ridiculously low price. The Lodge has a variety of accommodations and a lovely lounge with wood fire. Outside are two llamas and two sheep! The location is on the road from the PanAmericana to the gate of the Cotopaxi National Park so is perfectly situated. Paulina is extremely knowledgable about the area and we were so grateful that she spoke English so that we could talk to her and learn from her. We had originally planned to stay somewhere else but a medical issue required a change of plans - and we are so grateful that we ended up at Rumipaxi Lodge.

The most beautiful accomodation we had during our South America trip. Perfect newly built cottages makes you feel like at home. The owners are very nice, friendly, helpful and doing maximum for you to feel well. 3 friendly dogs in the garden you can play with!

What didn't I like?! Absolute friendly staff (they kept the restaurant open longer for us due to our delayed arrival), the view from the ranch was gorgeos, the ranch itself is upheld perfectly, the rooms are clean and nice. Beds are suuuuuuuuuuper comfy!

Frank is an amazing host! He helped us so much with planning of the trips around. ( El Corazón, Iliniza Norte, Cotopaxi....) Chaupi was our base camp for the acclimatization in mountains in Ecuador. We spent in Frank hostal amazing one week and I can definitely say, that it was the best decision stay in Ilinizas Wasi. You can use a kitchen, pat their dog and cats, use the washing machine. Frank even helped us with booking a guide for Cotopaxi and he recommended us great guide Marco. ( From 8 groups we were the only ones, who reached the summit.) I recommend this place 10/10.!
