BananaHouse is the perfect stay in Kefalonia for more than one reason. Firstly the owners, Liverous, Nikki, Kostas, Joana and Dafne are the nicest family and the most perfect host that you can meet. They have a vegetable farm with organic grown tomatos and veggies that taste like childhood. Secondly the location, settled just a few steps near Lourda beach in natural shadows all around the house, where you can find a few tropical trees beside the bananas, there is papaya tree, orange and olive tree and a lot more, a little pieace of heaven. Thirdly the beach - Lourda beach has light blue colour is big with clear water and you can find sun beds or place where you can stay beside them. If you dont like big beaches right behind the path of the beach, there is another one almost empty with few turtle eggs nest. Also is a good starting point to explore the island. The house has a parking and right next to it a supermarket, also good coffee shops in one minute walking, tavernas and one of the best beer bar in the island (Platanos). The internet was very fast and stable. Hot water all the time. BananaHouse is a small jewel on the island. Just perfect!!!

It’s better than the pictures! We stayed in the room with the big balcony and had breakfast there everyday, admiring the Mountain View. It has a big beautiful garden and the room was very clean and comfy. The host was exceptional and very helpful.

The main room truly impressed us with its modern decor and cozy atmosphere, making our stay very pleasant and comfortable. A lovely and practical spot! The location is excellent, just a short drive to the beach and close to Argostoli, which made exploring the area really convenient. The hosts are genuinely wonderful people – kind, discreet and always ready to help or share local tips. Another delightful surprise was the local treats waiting for us in the kitchen on arrival – a warm welcome that made us feel immediately at home. The garden is simply magical, full of greenery and flowers, creating a perfect spot to enjoy your coffee or drink in peace. Overall, this accommodation truly exceeded our expectations: ideal for relaxation and memorable holidays. We would absolutely recommend it to friends and family – and we are already looking forward to coming back! 🌿✨

The villa is amazing. It's so new and tastefully done up. From the overall layout, choice of fixtures and fittings, furniture to small touches - everything speaks quality and is so beautiful. The infinity pool is large, cleaned on a daily basis and so welcoming. It's a jewel of a villa, five star accommodation in a great setting.

We stayed for a week at Bee’s Knee Retreat and the villa is simply great: good living space, amenities within 5mn drive, swimming pool and the gem is a secluded sandy cove 5mn walk from the house where we enjoyed blue sea, fishes and crabing (although one has to be patient to find the crabs, they are there) Owner is also very helpful to make the stay fantastic. Of course to visit the island you do need a car and make sure you rent small cars as the island’s roads are narrows. Great stay planning to come back soon.

Everything you could possibly need and more. We were 2 families of 5 and the villa suited every need…location, comfort and relaxing by the pool. The host Lambros was very lovely and nothing was an issue. I hope we can visit again!!

We booked the Villa last minute due to issue with a different accomodation booked separately, we were so glad we made the move the hosts made it available ahead of normal check in time which was so helpful and we were not dissapointed, the villa was perfect, immaculately clean, comfortable beds, and good size pool with lovely surrounding area, we loved the villa and our stay was thoroughly relaxing, we would highly reccomend.

The beds looked comfortable although we never used them,and the kitchen area looked ok but basic, it was lacking in any form of welcome pack usually supplied, no basic condiments or foil / cling film etc.

Marina and her son are very direct and kind, they helped us in everything! We were given a completely renovated room, we used it for the first time, it was beautiful, the view is magnificent! Nicely kept place, pool and everything, a really good experience! Marina also brought a delicious breakfast on the first day. The owner's dogs and cats are also nice, my favorite is Tarzan the long-legged cat, a real Greek cat, he was direct, brave and friendly. Thank you for the beautiful experiences, Ευχαριστώ!
