Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and large. The crib was very good. The view from the room was perfect because it had been snowing for two days before It even had a small balcony trype thing. The restaurant was expensive but worth every penny. Staff was helpful and fun.

This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings.

Where do I begin… Local breakfast, friendly staff, helped us with all the problems, great ice cream, the best dogs, great location, beautiful suroundings, big kitchen, cosy living room, good laundry service, I could go on for ever! Loved it!❤️ One of the highlights of our trip and we saw the northern lights!

If I could give more than 10, I would happily do it. It was a fantastic apartment. I was a bit hesitant about shared kitchen initially. But it was absolutely fine. It was huge and exceptionally clean, had loads of utensils and cooking equipment. A full size dishwasher. So they have set up the kitchen in a way that multiple people can cook same time. They also come every morning to clean and reset the kitchen. They also give free supplies like breads, tomato, butter, oils etc. Washing machine came in very handy as this was day 7 of our Iceland trip when we stayed in Birkilauf. Rooms are very nice, neat and clean. Bathroom also looks newly done up Location is very close to all main areas like Hverir geothermal, Hverfjall Volcano and Dimmuborgir and lake Myvatn. Overall everything was great. Highly recommend.

The very comfortable home from home, accommodation. Plenty of space for four people to spread out and enjoy the view across the lake. The close proximity to the amazing geological sites was a real bonus. The laundry facilities were excellent and we made good use of them.
