The location at Playa Gigante is a well kept secret, it is close enough but away from more crowded locations to the south and to the north. The people at Gigante are working fishermen mostly with huge smiles, and willing to go out of their way to help. Smiles and greetings guaranteed as they pass you by. No exceptions. Wow. The hotel, is a small operation run by its owner and loyal staff, always on premises. Very secure, very clean, very attractive and representative of the area. I would not consider booking anywhere else when I decide to return, which I most certainly will.

Without a doubt, this is the most amazing place I've stayed during my travels, and I can't recommend it enough! The dorm room is basic, but the real magic lies in the gorgeous gardens and pool, which make the atmosphere so tranquil and perfect for relaxation. The hammocks were a dream. Even though there isn't a kitchen, the food was so good that I didn't mind eating there at all. You can tell the owners take immense pride in the property; it was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. There were many staff around, but they were never bothersome. My stay was absolutely wonderful, and I would eagerly return – it's truly a special place!

The stay at La Chaquita was great. The location was beautiful inside the forest and the owner of the place was very friendly and helpful.

We endet up staying longer than planned because we enjoyed it so much! It's a very calm place, clean room anf they let you use the kitchen. The family is also very sweet!
