A dream! Beautiful cabin with the most breathtaking views of the forrest and the skies at night. It had everything we could wish for, and was very clean and comfortable. We were welcomed with lit candles and lanterns along the path and at the treehouse. We also made use of the boat to explore the lake and its surroundings. And we gazed at the stars in a dark night surrounded only by the sounds of the forrest. The experience of a lifetime, for ourselves and our kids!

2nd time in this hotel, I came back for the location, food & friendly staff. Again was pleasantly surprised like the 1st time! The hotel is such an overlooked gem with the Fredriksten fort right next door.

Exceptional location with wonderful views and few minutes walk to train station. Excellent, friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast and 24hr access to coffee machine included in room booking. Highly recommend the hotel restaurant for evening dining.

From front to back, our experience was exceptional. Despite the fact that some areas of the property are still undergoing conceptual changes or updates, we couldn't have asked for any more. The service, the food (and the wine pairings!), and the rooms were all top notch. The property has such a rich history, it's really worth putting on your list if you're in Norway.

Great location in the forest close to the fjord. Spacious living room and in general well equipped apartment. The owner does not respond quickly, but he is very kind and he even left us some wood for the fire place upon asking for it. Very reasonable price. All in all we had a nice stay there for two nights and we were 8 in total (2 families with 2 small children).
