Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Kizimkazi

The „ecohouse“ is a special and hidden treasure on the wonderful compound, very close to the beach in kizimkazi. The lovely style of the old materials in a fresh renovated condition was exactly our taste. Simplicity on its best. Selma is a worm host and the breakfast is close to a garden ceremony with good fruits and enough to eat. The village itself seemed to us peaceful. Tourists are not yet overehelming the traditional lifestyle. The fishermen and the beaching till sunset go well along. We regretted that we couldn’t stay longer.

Mawingu lodge is a clean and wonderful place, surrounded trees and plants. The location is perfect, literally 1 min walk from the beach and 2 min walk from the village center. Orit and the employees are super friendly, and have great recommendations for things to do around. The room was big and designd beautifully, so i really felt like home. I would definitely come back again :)

We really regret not staying here longer – we actually enjoyed it much more than in Nungwi. Beth is an amazing host, and her hospitality made our holiday truly special. The place is new and continuously being improved. When we booked, the pool wasn’t even built yet, but by the time we arrived, it was ready. The staff are extremely kind, and the food is delicious – the chicken shawarma is a must-try! Beth also helped us with everything, from airport transfer to programs, and always replied instantly. In terms of value for money, this was the best place during our whole Zanzibar trip. Prepare for an authentic experience – if we return to Zanzibar, we will definitely come back here.

The pool was really nice and great for lounging! The spa is simple but we had really great massages! The food is also delicious.

The location and view of the ocean from our balcony plus also being able to watch and listen to village life. The room was very spacious, clean and good value. Staff were very friendly and service was great. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful with fresh juice, fruits, bread, eggs and coffee. There are a few good restaurants very close by as well such as Peter pan and Yellow Card and a couple of convenience stores for water and snacks.

From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. Sheila, the manager, gave us a full tour of the entire complex and made us truly feel like part of the Zan family. Sheila is delightful and always attentive, making sure everything is perfect during our stay. The rest of the staff is equally amazing – always smiling and ready to help. Our room was spectacular and enormous, with a spacious living area, two bathrooms, an extra-large comfortable bed, and a terrace with a bathtub and breathtaking views. Stepping into the room was a sensory delight – beautiful decoration, cozy sofas, and immaculate cleanliness. We had access to three stunning pools right on the beachfront, two of which are infinity pools. They are perfect for relaxing while enjoying the incredible ocean views. The hotel has two restaurants: one international and one local. Every meal was delicious, especially the octopus curry, which was unforgettable. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of options. Zan Hotels also offers several complimentary activities. We went snorkeling on a reef full of colorful fish and starfish, and we got beautiful henna tattoos. Overall, our experience at Zan Hotels was extraordinary. Every detail, from the warm welcome to the amazing facilities and attentive staff, made our stay truly unforgettable.
