I loved my stay!! Angie and her daughter Anielka were extremely responsive and attentive! Checking in periodically to see if there was anything I needed. Made me feel very welcomed and at home. The space was large, with a full stock kitchen. The couch in the living room was also very comfortable. During the day, the house could get hot but using the air conditioner in the bedroom it wasn't an issue at all. I really enjoyed how quiet the area was, while conveniently walking distance to the main street of town. So great location!

We loved the location just minutes to the beach and restaurants, but super private and surrounded by a lush garden full of birds, cool frogs, the sound howler monkeys in the morning, and agoutis. The hammock and table and chairs on our large patio allowed us to enjoy the outdoors.

Beautiful gardens active with birds and animals, including a sloth. The nearby beach was nearly deserted, but for the nesting Leatherback turtles, it seemed ideal. The restaurant served gourmet food. The menu was varied. The Curry to die for!

Beautiful property and grounds, fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed, clean bathroom, air conditioning (big plus for someone who sleep in cool temp), awesome swimming pool all by ourselves, warm and personable hosts (Fabiola, Markus and David are super friendly and helpful)! The location cannot be better! It is quiet, safe yet just a short drive to the beaches, restaurants and Cahuita National Park. We took the great advice from other travelers to stay in Cahuita area rather than Puerto Viejo!! There are great restaurant options in Puerto Viejo but too busy and run down for our liking. We love our stay at Plaza Tucanito where allow us to explore beautiful beaches nearby and plenty of dining options in Cahuita town. Cahuita National Park is definitely a must visit! We went in the morning and saw tons of wildlife and enjoyed the calm and beautiful Playa Blanca! We also enjoyed Playa Grande en Cahuita : )

Selva Madre Eco-Sanctuary is a real oasis of peace just a few km out from the main road and reachable by a very good path (good to know when driving in Costa Rica). Mary is a beautiful kind person, a great yoga teacher and also a good chef as she cooked us an amazing dinner and breakfast in the jungle; she made our staying a unique experience.

Casa Numú, apresentando um jardim, situa-se em Cahuita, a 26 km de Centro de Resgate do Jaguar e 48 km de Porto Moín. Of all our accommodations in Costa Rica, this one was the most nature-oriented. Waking up to the sound of birds singing and howler monkeys was absolutely perfect. We saw toucans and hummingbirds in the garden. Even though the house is right next to the jungle, we really felt safe. The main road along the coast is very busy, so we can only recommend choosing accommodations like this one, which is a little further away from the road. Thank you for everything!
