Dénia is overbuilt and has a lot of tourists but is well worth visiting; we went to the llonja (fish market) to see the fishing boats come in (between 3:30 and 5:00) and watch the fish auction, which begins around 5:00. . The staff and the owner, Delia, are wonderful. If you want a great lunch of "comida casera" and would like to avoid the touristy restaurants near the shore, go to Bar Dulcinea Requetesort. We found it by watching where the public-sector workers with uniforms were eating.
