On the shores of Killary Harbour lies Ireland's oldest coaching inn. Dating from 1796, you'll find traditional home cooking, antique furniture and the most spectacular views in Ireland. We were astounded by this Hotel which is literally in the middle of nowhere, lovely view of the mountains and lake. The room was great, it's an old hotel so the older type of furniture was in keeping. I asked for a separate shower, not one over the bath, and got that. The breakfast was first class as were the dinners that we had there. Lovely bar area and lounge. It is certainly a hotel we will visit again in the near future.

Standing at the head of Cashel Bay, this hotel is set in 50 acres of award-winning gardens and woodlands. Cashel House offers luxurious bedrooms, fine dining and a private beach. What a gem! After several days of traveling, this place was the perfect spot to unwind and treat ourselves. From the spacious room to the lovely patio and the exquisite restaurant, everything was wonderful. The house itself is steeped in history and offers much to explore. The staff were exceptionally friendly and we really appreciated the manager's offer to lend us a charging cable for our car.

Clean and very comfortable. I was looking for something to spend a nice and quiet weekend and that was the best choice. I had lovely walks at the beach with my dog, I had peace and quiet and beautiful cottage with a garden. I had the best weekend break ever!

We stayed at Derroe House and absolutely loved it. The house was spacious with 4 bedrooms and we had the entire property to ourselves. It was spotless, well-maintained, and had all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay. The setting was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing trip we felt right at home.

We had a lovely stay in this cosy, super clean cottage, it was the perfect base for exploring the area. The homemade cookies were such a sweet surprise on arrival! Beds were really comfy and we loved having a handy coffee machine with pods included. Great location too, just a short stroll to the beach, close to the ferry for the Aran Islands and only a quick drive to the adorable village of Spiddal. All in all, great value for the area. Highly recommend!

We celebrated my 60th birthday with 13 friends from all over the United States. We all stayed within Clifden town and enjoyed a night all together on the beautiful deck. Loved the location and kitchen/deck space. So convenient to all the shops, pubs, restaurants, and grocery store. Gerard was wonderful to work with- friendly and very responsive. It is an older home which some might not like but we loved it and would come back time and again.
