The nice host who prepared extra food for us in addition to the breakfast basket as she knew that we had a terribly late arrival. The food is such a warm welcome when I woke up after a tiring night the day before. The cottage itself is historic but well kept. I didn’t need to worry about the hot water supply for the five adults to have bath in sequence. The kitchen is well equipped with all the cooking stuff we need. Our family has an amazing breakfast time at the cozy kitchen. As a first day visit to Ireland, this is truly a wonderful experience for us. I was waken up by the fresh air and humming of the birds outside my window

The apartment was decorated with Christmas 🎄 and candles also our host and his family were very friendly they had left food wine beer's and beautiful home made bread also cakes and lots of treats for us myself and my wife will definitely be staying in this beautiful apartment again also the driveway and the garden was all lit up for Christmas and the whole experience was so peaceful and I would give this accommodation 5 stars +++ it is 100% the best place to stay ,so thank you very much to our host and his family, David and Rosie from Mountmellick. 26 /12/24.

Location was beautiful, really got the feel for being on a farm. The Gurteen castle next door was nice to see and the live animals made it a special experience.

House was warm, heating can be changed if you prefer a cooler setting and it’s easy to use, Padraic is dead on and very helpful in many ways, there’s not much around the general location unless you like hiking or walking but there’s an information booklet in the house that provides places to visit, the house is incredibly comfy and would 100% stay again.

Knew by the photos it would be lovely, but every attentive detail was perfect. The robes, the fresh food gift basket, and abundance of fresh towels and toiletries. Felt like a luxury hotel stay, but in a self catered home. Have recommended it to everyone I know! Though I might regret that if it's booked up when I want to come back! 10/10

We extended our stay because the host, and members of the community helped us locate family going back to the 1800’s in the area. The local people are very friendly, polite, and always helpful. We hope to return again. A relaxing vacation. Driving was a breeze with google maps gps very accurate and worked well all over. If using AT&T pay extra for the international plan for texting or calling and Google maps.
