Fosshotel Mývatn is located next to Lake Mývatn, 6.8 km to the Mývatn Nature Baths. The hotels provides free WiFi and free private parking. We were very satisfied with the hotel. It had a beautiful design. Even the shower corner was tiled so well that no water leaked into the bathroom! The stunning views of the lake with grazing sheep complemented this beautiful hotel design. The staff was very friendly, and we especially appreciated the excellent chef – the food was truly delicious

This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings. Amazing! Location perfect, staff incredible! Best stay of the whole trip! ❤️ Restaurant was also amazing!

Location is superb, right between the mountains with splendid views and still not that far away from the nearest town. Jacuzzi just adds to the experience. Highly recommended :)

The host, the house, the coziness, the position in front of the ocean, we could see an amazing show of northern nights. Olga, the host, is incredibly kind and nice; we had a last minute change of plans because of the weather and our northern lights chase and despite of the very short notice of our request she was so flexible and accommodating. The house is amazingly decorated, you really feel like home and honestly if we wouldn’t have had so less time during our trip, we would have loved to relax there some more days. Absolutely recommended!! 🩷

The Apartment was beautiful, comfortable, featured plenty of windows to enjoy the stunning view of the lake in front and the mountain in the back. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need, there is even a laundry machine. The location is perfect, right next to Dimmuburgir, Hverir, the cave and of course the lake which benefited us with a beautiful sunset from the kitchen. It wasn't so cheap but worth the money.

Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. Had an awesome stay! The host was super friendly and gave us some great tips for things to do in the area. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was really handy. Just bring your dinner/lunch and cook as if you are at home cause you will have plenty of pots/pans/oil/salt. Our room was clean and modern. We even got to see the Northern Lights in April!

The highlight of our trip! Our host was an incredibly warm and welcoming woman that made us feel right at home. The breakfast is homemade, delicious and varied. The accommodation is beautiful and you can tell a lot of thought was put into it. Can't recommend this place enough!

The accommodation was exceptional. It is a bit isolated, at 1-2 km from the ring road, with nothing but nature around, making it very quiet. The room is like a small chalet, with a large window next to the bed. As it snowed in the night we stayed, the view from the bed was really nice. The owner was very considerate and we had a smooth communication. Also, he left us a souvenir for good luck, which we really appreciated. In the fridge we had some snack for breakfast or for the road. In a nutshell, we loved this nice, warm and welcoming place.
