We loved staying in an older traditional style Japanese home and experiencing sleeping on the tatami floor. The room was very spacious and the owners were kind and lovely people! The location was on the opposite end of the shopping street from the train station so lots of opportunity to see the town. We loved this stay!

Super friendly host, gave me a lift to the sights that I was interested and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring I was comfortable in their stay. Cats very friendly and playful, plenty of them. Good location, quiet part of town but walking distance to places of interest.

Kazu and Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They provided us with great recommendations of local restaurants/shops and activities. Very clean with great sea view. Comes with a free parking space which is a bonus.

They came back again later in the day to makw sure our surroundings were safe because a storm was coming and they also made personal calls to friends to get information for us for a local festival. Very friendly and helpful people! The layout of the building was great with, waterfront, new and clean. An outdoor table to enjoy sea views and the view from the 2nd floor bedroom was gorgeous.

The house was renovated with much love and combines old and new in a very stylish way. If you want to experience a traditional Japanese house but don’t want to miss out on modern comfort, this is the house for you. This was really one of my best stays in Japan. Spacious modern kitchen and eating area, very comfortable bed and nice Sauna and Bathroom. The highlights are the beautiful Tatami rooms that offer an amazing view into the surrounding Garden. I unfortunately only stayed for one night and spend most of my time sitting in the tatami room, drinking tea and looking at the beautiful Garden. The house also offers a lot of privacy as it is a bit on the edge of the village and has everything you need for a relaxed stay, from BBQ, deckchairs to entertainment system (Bluetooth box and projector). High quality amenities were also supplied. Washing machine and dryer are also available. The house is located in the countryside, I recommend buying supplies in one of the cities on the way. There are also some restaurants nearby. I came by car from Fukuyama which took about an hour and was a nice ride through the hills, I enjoyed staying away from the crowded big cities. The manager was very friendly and replied fast to any questions I had. I will be back for sure, next time for a longer stay.
