The hotel has a beautiful setting right by the lagoon, with peaceful surroundings and views that make you slow down and relax. The reception and restaurant/bar staff were genuinely excellent — professional, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warmth made the stay feel personal and easy, and we really appreciated the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. The on-site restaurant offers great food and drinks in a lovely lakeside setting, perfect for watching the colors of Bacalar’s lagoon change through the day. A place that combines natural beauty with attentive service — highly recommended.

The moment we walked in, it felt like stepping right into a dream. The pictures don’t do this place justice—you truly have to be there in person to experience how lavish and thoughtfully designed it is. Our villa was absolutely stunning. Exceptionally clean, beautifully designed, and the highlight was the personal pool with a forest view, and various options for mood lighting. We could not get enough of it. The open-air shower was pure magic. Showering under the sky, surrounded by nature, was an experience in itself. Every little detail felt intentional, making it one of the most luxurious stays we've ever had. The highlight, though, was the concierge service on WhatsApp. Jay and Ara are just brilliant with the guests! We just had to send a message, and whatever we needed was sent to our room promptly. They helped us book taxis, made restaurant reservations, and even gave us directions and suggestions in real time. We are so thankful. But what made the real difference for us were the activities at the property. We tried the ice bath, the yoga sessions, and even the temazcal—and I’m so glad we did. There was so much to do that we never even felt like leaving the hotel. The food was delicious as well. The breakfast, the restaurant, the fresh ingredients—everything was top-notch. Try the Pina Colada!!! Honestly, if you’re thinking about booking—just do it. Milam is pure magic. ✨

Location is perfect! Right across the street from the beach and a two minute walk from the ferry terminal. Small details make a big difference such as the Tommy Bahama beach chairs and the large beach towels. Visits to the beach were very much enjoyed. Coffee maker in the room was greatly appreciated as well as a little bit of coffee to start our day. Patio on the roof right outside our door was amazing for watching the sunsets and enjoying the local scenery. Staff was very friendly and our room was spotless everyday. Well done!
