We spent February half term here 2025, well placed, situated about 10 minutes from Hafjell ski resort (North) and Lillehammer (South). The house is a typical Scandinavian home, spacious, comfortable, clean, warm, with wonderful views of the river. The owners left us plenty of logs for the log burner, which we could also use outside cooking on the fire pit in the garden. This was great fun in the snow. There is also a sauna in the basement. We had a couple of queries which were answered very quickly by Inger and when we had a heavy snowfall, the owners cleared the drive so we could go out in our hire car. The garden was visited by many birds, including tree sparrows, which are uncommon in England.

The sauna was a treat after a day of skiing and having a bar/restaurant and well stocked shop only a minute away was great. Host was very helpful on arrival, good communication. I’d love to come back at any time of year, a really beautiful place.
