We arrived late at night with no plans and by 9am the next morning Deepak had planned the whole trip for us. He arranged rides, hotels, guides and food for the ten days for us. He set us up with a great guide, Bidur for a 5 day trek on the Mardi Himil trek the guide took care of all the details and really watched over us as we increased in elevation and monitored us for attitude sickness. Overall could not have asked for a better trip!!

Our host worked hard to connect with us, and to make our stay a good one. He had to balance caring for each of the people staying there. And, of course, he has his own family he must not ignore. The breakfasts he makes for us are varied, healthy, simple, but tasty. The location was perfect. We lived in a real neighborhood, which meant the dogs barked, there were sometimes odd neighbor noises, construction here and there, but everything eventually quieted down at night. I didn't fit into the house very well. I am tall and getting older, and I think it's an environment that works for the young and slightly more compact person. But, I still loved it just the same. I'd certainly stay there again if in Patan.

After almost one month travelling we found this amazing homestay where we felt like home and had some of our best days in this incredible country. It's been truly a gift to find this beautiful family, the accommodation is just perfect with stunning views of the valley and the monastery, the room is super cute and very comfortable, and the food is delicious. Namobuddha and surroundings are very interesting and peaceful, we came for 2 days and stayed 5! This kind of place remains forever in the heart and its memory will draw a smile on your face when you'll think of them. Thank you to all the family! We'll come back!

The property has quiet street views and is 200 metres from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 12 km from Patan Durbar Square. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. This is a house of a local family, so it’s a best way to stay here and get the most of local life. I spent a whole week here for the Nepali new year and had several Newari dinner meals with the host’s family (include a new year feast). I learned to properly eat with my hand. And I appreciate they changed the food every day a bit when I said I like to try more kinds of local food. The rooptop is the best place to have a full view of the Dubar Square and valley, I really enjoyed to stay up there every morning and night, so peaceful and chill. During the festival, the host provided all the infos about when and where to see the celebrations and even show me around, tell stories about Bhaktapur and the festival. It’s the place I would like to come back one day.

Everything is perfect here, the owners, the food (literally each dish was the best I had in Nepal), the views, the ambience… There are some hikes around, town is walking distance, cute local villages too! Stayed 4 nights but I’d definitely stay even longer next time!
