Very nice host welcomed us with dates and coffee/tea. The place itself is great, with a spectacular view, very comfortable room, clean, nice bathroom, terrace. In the evening can see the stars from your bed. In the morning a nice sunrise. Also had breakfast and dinner which the family prepared for our, delicious local food. One thing if you go, a 4x4 car might help, we did not make it all the way in our small car, but you can ask to be picked up.

The property is on the top of the Balcony Walk village. You can see the astonishing view from this property, sit int the big yard or head to the back hill of this property to see the canyon from top with surrounding cute goats. It’s the best location! Even you don’t go the the Balcony Walk hiking, you can just stay at the property and enjoy the view. The property is really well equipped and so clean! With this view, big kitchen, yard and rooms, you can find it that it’s really valuable because the other properties in this area are so expensive. The host, Ibrahim, is really nice, we drive a small car with 4people and find it hard to drive up. I call the host and he ask his friend nearby to come to us in 10mins to help us. Then his friend drive our car with total 5 people and successfully drive us up to the top! it’s an amazing and exciting experience. Thanks for Ibrahim and his friend’s help. (we also learned the skill how to drive on the steep and sand road. Haha. )

Simply don’t hesitate to book it. It’s an absolutely incredible place. Amazing views across the whole area; incredible food; super comfy bed; and unique rooms to stay in. We loved our Cave room where we got to experience sleeping under a huge rock. It was amazing. But the thing which made the stay so incredible were the hosts. The manager made us feel so welcome and accommodated our super early departure on the next day. He woke up early to ensure we had breakfast at a ridiculously early hour. We were also offered a complimentary walking tour around the village where the guide shared his childhood stories as well as the history of the place. We learnt so much about the area and about the Omani culture from him. Thank you for the incredible stay!

Located in the village of Misfat Al- Abriyeen in the state of Al-Hamra, Al Misfah Hospitality Inn is about 200 kilometers away from Muscat. Beautiful place in a restored traditional clay house located in an incredible panorama. Dinner and breakfast are served on a terrace with a great view and are tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner introduced himself during dinner and invited us to a complementary tour through his museum in the morning, which was also brilliant. He is writing a book about the history of Misfat, so he had lots of knowledge and interesting stories to tell. Highly recommend this place!
